April Board Meeting Highlights

Each month the North Cedar School Board shares two or three highlights of our monthly board meetings. These takeaways are messages that the board collectively feels are important for the public to know. Here are the highlights from the April 17, 2023 regular meeting:

  • Congratulations to the Class of 2023.  We wish the graduating class the best of luck in the future.  We cannot wait to see all that you accomplish next.

  • Greenhouse.  The board has approved to get the greenhouse put up at the Jr/Sr High. This will be a great benefit to our Ag program.

  • Congratulations to FBLA and Fine Arts.  FBLA had two top 10 placements at state: Anikah Boettcher in Job Interview received 8th place and Kiah Wendt in Agribusiness received 8th place.  FBLA also had two National Qualifiers:  Bianca Johnston in Human Resource Management received 2nd place and Kiah Wendt in Job Interview received 2nd place.  We want to wish them good luck at nationals. Twenty North Cedar band and choir students participated in five band events and six choir events. For their solos and duets, students earned five Division I’s, four Division II’s, and one Division III. The Chamber Choir also received a Division I rating. Congrats to all of our participants.
