Jr/Sr High School

Though we’re a small school, our Knights are proud! North Cedar Senior High School educates about 250 students, providing them the essentials to prepare for a career or further education. Students have a wide variety of classes from which to choose, including advanced placement courses in preparation for college.

The junior high school years can be a challenge – for parents and students alike. The North Cedar Junior High School staff works hard to keep parents informed regularly and to engage students in quality, meaningful learning activities daily. Students participate in physical education, family consumer science, business class, STEM, industrial arts, and Ag education courses. We also have a number of extracurricular activities and clubs, which will help students build a foundation of leadership as they learn to contribute to the world around them.

Activities

Our Knights have a wide range of athletics and activities from which to choose, helping them to grow in to healthy, well-rounded young adults. We encourage all students to participate in extra-curricular activities. Find out more about what we have to offer!

Athletics

Our students stay active and involved in our many athletics teams. Visit our Athletics page for schedules, scores, and all the latest accomplishments of our Knights!

Fine Arts

We offer band, choir, and theater as electives. These activities require additional practices occurring after school. Participating in fine arts helps students grow academically and foster an appreciation for the arts that they will carry with them into adulthood.

Academic and Special Interest Clubs

Academic clubs meet after school and allow students to build knowledge while learning how to work as a team. We offer:

  • Anime Club
  • Coding Club
  • Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
  • Math Club
  • National Honor Society
  • Quill and Scroll
  • Robotics Club
  • Student Council
  • The National FFA Organization
  • Yearbook

Senior HS Educational Philosophy

The instructional staff at North Cedar Senior High School is committed to providing an educational program that will encompass the physical, social, emotional, civic, moral, career, aesthetic, and intellectual needs of our students to function in a competitive, technical, and democratic society.
